Steel cut to size, shaped and moulded - whatever steel work you need to be done, our team will endeavour to deliver
Unlike many other engineering firms in Auckland, we supply steel and fastenings directly to you for your convenience. You can source most things from us, including flat, round, square, and hollow steel bars, angle iron and black and galvanised pipe. We even supply various nuts, bolts, and washers for projects of all types. And in contrast to our competitors, ensuring less metal in landfills, we will happily sell you steel off-cuts that we can match to an existing piece or cut down to size whether you need three metres or just 30 centimetres.
As fabrication specialists, we can mould your metal as required with access to a range of specialised manufacturing equipment. For example, we have several machines available. Our lathe shapes metal by removing unwanted sections, whereas our milling machine is used to drill, bore, and cut slots in flat or irregular surfaces. And our press brake is used to bend sheets.
We also use three welding processes to join various metals for domestic or commercial applications, including Metal Inert Gas (MIG), Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) and Arc welding processes. MIG is a versatile technique used for sheet metal work and thick components; TIG is useful for welding a wider range of metals, from steel, bronze, brass and copper, to stainless steel, aluminium and other alloys, even gold. However, due to the intense heat when Arc welding, it is unsuitable for all fabrication processes but can be used for such things as steel and cast iron.
So as you can see, we are set up to take care of all your metal cutting services and manufacturing needs from start to finish. With years of experience working on a range of light and heavy fabrication projects, we can help resolve any issues you may have - no matter how simple or complex.
